St Peter's Outreach Team

Andrew ReedUnder the leadership of Andrew Reed, SPOT (St Peters Outreach Team) seeks to build good relationships with those who live in the area around St Peters church which we have purchased as the next phase in accommodating a growing congregation.

By means of a regular newsletter "In the Neighbourhood" it aims to keep our new neighbours informed on the progress of our project to refurbish this building and make it fit for purpose in the 21st century.

Our goal is that it will not only be a building which will house the two congregations of Elim and Open Heaven but it will also be a drop in centre for local people, a hub of activity which was lost when St Peters was closed in 2007.

In a recent Radio 5 Live production, residents of Loughborough's 'Golden Triangle' stated that with the closure of St Peters, the heart had been lost from the community. Paul Steven's response to this statement was that he longs for the Church to reinstate that heart. "The people may have changed, but the gospel, the 'Good News of Jesus Christ', is still the same and still amazing; it has the power to change any community"
