I was born and brought up in Belfast. My father came from London and met my mother during the war while billeted near Belfast. I am a "baby boomer" and the eldest of three brothers. I bombed at "A" levels (having just started to go out with Annette - not her fault) and then trained and worked as an Environmental Health Officer for 10 years. Excellent training for the ministry. When I was 30 I did two years at Elim Bible College and returned to Belfast to pastor my home church. About 9 years later I was invited to move to Cheltenham where I worked as Administrative Assistant to the International Missions Director. When that season of my life came to a close (and very enjoyable it was), I came as pastor to this fellowship in December 1998 - my experience here is equally enjoyable although the first few years were difficult enough. We have three grown up children aged 33, 29 and 25 - just one, the baby, still lives with us.
Testimony
Brought up in a strongly Christian family, I committed my life to Christ at the age of 11 in 1959. I was baptised in water when 14, and baptised in the Spirit at 15. I had my barren period in my teens but with God's help I came through that and in my 20's believed that my future lay in full-time church leadership. With my wife's support that became a reality in my 30's.
Giftings
My giftings are in administration and teaching. My passion is to see people find their potential in God, to see them grow in faith and maturity and entering into the thrills and spills of discipleship. I am a worker in God's vineyard with a burning desire to see His Kingdom grow in this town and beyond.
