My name is Pam Glover, and I have been part of Elim since I was a baby. I grew up in Loughborough - yes I'm a local!
My whole family attended Elim once; mum, dad, sister and brother until my brother hit those teenage years and found church 'boring'. My dad passed away in 2005, but my mum and sister still attend here (locals too)!
My career is with children - I'm a qualified Nursery Nurse, and have always worked with children. I became involved with crèche here at the age of 13 and have continued with Sunday school/Trend since then. I have been a nanny for 2 families and I then established and managed a Christian playgroup, Little Fishes here at Elim, for 7 years. I currently work part-time at Burleigh College in their nursery. I have always had a passion for children.
I am happily married to Anthony, we have been married for over 10 years and we have 3 wonderful children.
I became a Christian at the age of 11 years - here at Elim. An organization called Teen Challenge was visiting Elim, and as part of that showed the film The Cross and the Switchblade, which the true story of how Teen Challenge was established. They do a fantastic work in supporting teenagers coming off drugs.
Since making that choice - accepting Jesus as my Saviour, coupled with the knowledge I gained from my from Sunday school teaching, my relationship with God began.
I was baptized at the age of 16 and God has been so faithful. Through everything on my journey, the big and little things, God has never left me. He's always been there leading at the front, at the side and behind. He's GREAT!
My desire is for children to find Jesus and for Jesus to be their ROCK, as He has been mine. In this world of ever changing morals, people, children need Jesus!
