Diane's Testimony

Hi. What shall I say about myself, or should I ask what would you want to know? I was born in Nottingham and came to Loughborough when I got married. Although I have escaped a couple of times I seem to always return, so I guess this is where God wants me to be.

My family are really important to me, so I like to ensure I have time for family outings and sharing meals together. My close family are my two daughters Catherine and Clare, grandsons Daniel and Samuel and my mum, sister and brother, all of whom I love dearly.

I was 14 when I first heard anything about God and that was at a beach mission at Chapel St Leonard, where for the reward of chocolate, I learned my first bible verse John 14 v 6. That seed of the word of God took many years to grow. It was not until I was 30 years old at a niece's Baptism service, that I responded to the gospel and committed my life to the Lord. However I made up for lost time by being baptised in the Holy Spirit 2 weeks later and in water 2 weeks after that.

I came from a non Christian home and knew absolutely nothing, so when I went to buy a bible and was asked by the shop assistant 'What version do you want?', I replied 'God's'. I had read it through within three months and have continued to desire His word ever since. I never cease to be amazed at how living the bible is, how there is a word for every season, to encourage when I'm down, to give peace when troubled, to remind me of how awesome and Holy He is when I need some correction.

I am supposed to end this with my gifting. All I can say is I have a desire in my heart for people to walk in all Jesus has purchased for them. Therefore I desire to proclaim His word and to be more effective in prayer. Anything further I will let you be fruit inspectors.
