Elim Church Centre

Elim Church Centre - Loughborough

Guidelines for Students

So how are you finding Loughborough? It’s a small market town with a population of about 60,000 during term time.

Our stance is, secular or sacred – serve God with all your heart and that includes your studies. Make it the thing you do for God.

Make it a priority to get bedded into a good church fellowship. There are quite a few in the town so do the grand tour and make one of them your spiritual home.

Is this your opportunity to stand on your own feet spiritually – parents aren’t breathing down your neck? Grab it with both hands.

How can Elim fit into your picture?

We support the various Student Christian initiatives on campus – we are also registered with Fusion and support their work.

Our view is, that you relate to your fellow students on campus and lock into a local church fellowship for support and encouragement. You get spiritually fed here. You witness to your fellow students there AND you have a real Church fellowship to introduce them to.

We are a cell based church and if you are a post-graduate (or possibly an under-graduate) you will find our Connect Groups, as we call them, a good place for spiritual support and fellowship.

Student Fellowship Group: Colin and Sue Garner provide an opportunity to meet and discuss various aspects of student life and belief fortnightly after the Sunday evening service.

If gifted musically, we run two Worship Bands. There may be opportunity for involvement there. We practice on Thursdays at 8pm.

Student Membership

For students we offer "Student membership" after three months regular attendance. All we ask is that we or you get a reference from the minister of your home church.

Our aim is not to replace your home fellowship but to give you support while you study here.

Our goal is to see you grow and develop in your knowledge of the scripture and your walk and witness. Talk to one of the Elders if you wish to know more.
