The Cookery is our luncheon club. It is open to everybody and serves a good value, nutritious meal every Monday and Friday at 12 noon. In addition to the mainly elderly who attend we run an after session for the homeless. See Jean Nowell for more information or if you want to help.
Smiles Toddler Group meets on Tuesday mornings 10 - 11:30am at the church in the youth hall during term time. It is a very welcoming and supportive group. See Pam Glover for more information.
Charis Centre This pregnancy and post-abortion counselling centre is open every Thursday 12 noon to 2:00pm, and on Monday mornings when staff are available. Staff trained in giving advice to couples or individuals seeking support because of a pregnancy or issues arising from post-abortion, still-birth and miscarriage situations are present then or an appointment can be made by phoning 01509 238388 (answer service) or emailing info@theCharisCentre.org.uk. Hope House is a hostel run for young women (16-25 years old) who find themselves homeless usually because of family disputes or rejection. It has been running since 1997. Accommodation is for three women and Alison Eames is their part-time support worker.
